Awesome admins know to work smarter, not harder. In this presentation, five crucial soft skills will be discussed to understand how admins can be deeply rooted in their organization’s culture and why this matters. We will discuss the importance of having a ticketing/case/request entry system, having a seat for admins at every team’s table, shadowing users at the point of service, reading industry newsletters and content, and protecting learning time. Committing to these five enrichments will allow admins to build trust from users, establish boundaries, sharpen their user intuition, and continue to learn. This talk is a celebration of the indispensable nature of admins as well as a guide on how to sharpen our non-technical skills.
